Learn Magic Tricks

I know of no one in the magic field who is sponsored in the way you would think of an athlete being sponsored. There may be some big names who have deal - Penn & Teller, David Copperfield, etc. - but the average magician works hard to market him/herself and to get and keep bookings.

There are folks who are a particular company’s favorite “trade show” magician. That’s a position that takes a lot of work to earn and isn’t about going out and getting a sponsor. That’s about doing a great job when you get hired and maintaining a relationship so they bring you back.

Your comment about your skills raises a couple of questions. You tell me you’re very good. How do you judge yourself against others? Do you attend a local magic club such as the International Brotherhood of Magicians or the Society of American Magicians? Have you been involved in any magic competitions? Where do you perform now?
