I would like to make some of my own stage magic to avoid having to spend tons of money on props that I could simply make myself. I have checked Google and I have had a difficult time finding things. Any answers will help however links an instructions would be the most helpful. Thank you.

Mark Wilson’s Complete Course in Magic has a section at the back of the book featuring lots of stage sized props you can make. As you begin to understand the principles behind these props, you’ll be able to design variations that will work for you.
He also includes a lot of instructions for table-sized props you can make that can be performed for large groups.
Keep in mind that many of the large stage effects require a second individual to perform. Some can be broken down and stored flat, but many must be stored and moved intact. For most of us, that means that we’re limited by the size of the car, truck or van we have to move them. Some of the pieces that can be stored flat, require two people to construct and require you bring tools to put them together. Certainly, some of the pieces will require two people to load them into and get them out of a theater.
None of this is said to discourage you, just to make sure you’re thinking as you create your show.
While you may want one or two of these effects, you should consider looking for magic that packs small and plays big. Magic with ropes can fit in a pocket, but can be seen by an audience of hundreds. There are effects that use a newspaper that can be seen from the back of a balcony. One of the reasons linking rings are so popular is that they are easy to transport, but can be performed on a large stage.
